3 Major Vastu Dosh You Should Avoid at Any Cost, Vastu Dosh in North-East Direction – Avoid Toilets & Fire Elements

FIRST VASTU DOSHA

NORTH-EAST VASTU DOSH: THE CORNER OF DIVINE ENERGY

The North-East direction is also called Ishaan Kon and is associated with the Water element.

It is also known as Devsthan, meaning the place of divine energy. This direction is very fragile and sensitive.

If this area has any Vastu defects, it can bring health issues, financial losses, and mental stress.

Now, let’s see which things should be avoided in the North-East direction:

FIRST VASTU DOSHA
FIRST VASTU DOSHA

Washroom – A washroom or toilet seat should never be placed in the North-East direction, as it can cause severe negative impacts on health and peace.

Kitchen – A kitchen burner or gas stove should not be placed in the North-East direction. As mentioned earlier, North-East is associated with the Water element, and fire and water are opposite elements. Keeping a fire (gas stove) in this zone can create tension, conflicts, and disturbances in the household.

Red Color – The red color should never be used in this direction. Whether it’s curtains, flooring, or furniture, red is an anti-element in this zone. Since red represents fire, and fire and water do not go together, using red in the North-East can lead to unnecessary conflicts and obstacles.

Overhead Water Tank – A water tank should not be placed on the terrace in the North-East direction. Here, we are talking about overhead water tanks, not underground tanks. Many people assume that since North-East is a water element, placing a water tank there would be beneficial. This is completely wrong! Only underground water tanks are allowed in this direction. If you want, you can also place rainwater harvesting or a borewell here, as they are considered good. However, an overhead tank in the North-East can create major life problems, so it should always be avoided.

RCC Stairs – Concrete (RCC) stairs should never be built in the North-East direction, as they can block energy flow and negatively impact the household.

Missing Zone – The North-East direction should never be cut or missing. Many people don’t understand what a missing zone is. If a house or room is L-shaped, and a part of the North-East is cut off, that missing area is called the Missing Zone. If the North-East corner is missing, the positive energy flow gets blocked, which can bring serious negative effects on the family’s health, finances, and overall well-being.

These are some of the major Vastu defects that we must take care of. If you are constructing a new house or office, make sure to pay attention to these points. If your existing premises already have these defects, and you are facing issues, then I strongly recommend consulting a Vastu expert immediately to find the best solutions.

How to Fix It?

✔️ Keep this area clean, open, and well-lit at all times.
✔️ If a washroom exists here, consult a Vastu expert for remedies.
✔️ Place water sources like an underground tank or a small temple in this direction.

SECOND VASTU DOSH – SOUTH-WEST DIRECTION VASTU DOSH

The South-West (Nairutya Kon) represents stability, skills, and relationships. Any defects in this direction can cause career stagnation, family disputes, and financial instability.

What to Avoid in the South

What to Avoid in the South-West?

Washroom – If a toilet (WC) is placed in the South-West direction, it can negatively impact relationships within the family. It can also affect skills, career growth, and stability.

Kitchen – A kitchen burner should not be placed in the South-West direction. Since this direction represents relationships, keeping fire elements here can ignite conflicts between family members, leading to misunderstandings and disharmony.

Mirror – Mirrors should never be installed in the South-West direction. Even a small mirror in this zone can cause serious problems.  If you have a mirror above your bed, remove it, cover it, or paint it to avoid its negative effects.

Temple – A temple (Mandir) should not be placed in the South-West direction. As we know, the North-East direction is considered Dev Sthan (the divine place) and is the ideal location for a temple. The South-West direction is called Nrititya Kon, which is not suitable for placing a temple.

Boring – One of the most dangerous Vastu mistakes is having a borewell or boring in the South-West direction. It can lead to serious accidents, major financial losses, and continuous struggles in life. If you have a borewell in this zone, consult a Vastu expert immediately for remedies.

Down Flooring – The South-West direction should never be lower than other areas of the house or office. Down flooring means that the floor in the South-West is lower compared to other directions. Whether it’s a residential or commercial space, this imbalance can attract negative energy, health issues, and financial instability.

Water Tank – No type of water tank should be placed in the South-West direction, whether it is an overhead water tank, underground tank, or rainwater harvesting system. Water elements in this direction create an imbalance in stability and relationships, leading to unwanted problems.

How to Fix It?

✔️ Keep this area heavy and well-supported with furniture or storage units.
✔️ If a mirror exists, cover it with wood or paint it.
✔️ If you have a borewell here, consult a Vastu expert for effective remedies.

THIRD VASTU DOSH- BRAHMASTHAN VASTU DOSH

The Brahmasthan is the core of your home or office, considered the stomach of Vastu Purusha

It should always be free, open, and positive. Any major defect in this area can create financial instability, health problems, and emotional distress.

What to Avoid in the Brahmasthan?

Washroom – In India, it is rare to find a washroom in the Brahmasthan, as most houses are designed with this knowledge.

However, in foreign countries, due to different architectural planning, many houses have washrooms built in the Brahmasthan. This continuously disturbs the energy flow in the house, leading to health and financial problems.

Kitchen – A gas burner or stove should never be placed in the Brahmasthan. Just like in the human body, the stomach is a sensitive organ, and if fire elements are placed there, it can cause disturbances and digestive issues. Similarly, in a house, placing a kitchen in the Brahmasthan can lead to instability, health problems, and tension in the family.

Lift – In India, when people build stilt plus four floors, they often design the lift pit in a way that it falls in the Brahmasthan. Many times, lifts, stairs, and shafts are constructed together in this central area, which severely disrupts the energy balance of the house. This can lead to continuous problems, stress, and obstacles in life. So, during construction, make sure that the lift shaft is not in the Brahmasthan.

Fountain – Some people, especially those with large open spaces, install fountains in the Brahmasthan as a decorative feature. However, in Vastu Shastra, placing a water element in the Brahmasthan can cause stomach-related health problems for the family members.

Pillar – No pillar should be built in the Brahmasthan. This is something that must be carefully planned during new construction. The centre of the plot should be open and free from obstructions. If a pillar is placed in this sensitive area, it disturbs the energy balance, affecting the health and digestion of the family.

This can lead to stomach-related health problems, so avoid placing a pillar in the Brahmasthan at all costs.

How to Fix It?

✔️ Keep the center open and clutter-free—this is the best remedy!
✔️ If a lift or pillar exists, apply specific Vastu solutions (consult an expert).
✔️ Avoid placing heavy furniture or water elements here.
